17 teams participated in the 21st Annual North Carolina State Screen Flag Football Championships held in Wrightsville Beach on December 1st and 2nd. For the first time in 3 years a Raleigh area team is state champions. Blinco's of Raleigh defeated the Cardinal's in the A Division Championship game 34 to 14. The Dirty Boyz of Wrightsville Beach defeated the Tarheel's of High Point 32 to 13 to capture the B Divsion championship. Wrightsville Beach teams have won the Screen Flag Championship the last three years - Hurricane's (2004 & 2005) and Captain Bill's (2006). |
